An application, on behalf of Dartmouth Crossing Ltd., has been put forward to rezone portions of land in the park.
If approved, this rezoning would change the existing industrial zoning of lands near Lake Charles to a zone which would permit a combination of residential and commercial projects.
The current industrial zoning does not provide for public input on industrial developments, the proposed new zoning would require any development to go through a public hearing process.
A public information meeting will be held Jan. 28 at Farrell Hall, 276 Windmill Rd., Dartmouth beginning at 7 p.m.
