Those Were the Days

The St. Andrews Players present Those Were the Days, a locally written, delightful musical dinner theatre about the crew of the ferry travelling between Cape Breton and Newfoundland. Enjoy a three-course roast beef meal and share in Maritime ballads and tunes. Performances are Saturday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 30 at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 8 Locks Road (off the Waverley Road, 2 kilometres from the rotary in Dartmouth). Mothering infants in violent families

Have you or someone you know left a violent relationship since the birth of a child? The Mothering Study wants to talk to mothers who have children aged 36 months or less and who have left a violent relationship. What moms tell us will help us find better ways to support mothers and children who have lived with violence. Participation is confidential. A token of appreciation and childcare will be provided. B.B.Q./Fun day

There will be a barbecue and fun day on Sept. 15 (rain or shine) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 337 Pleasant St., Dartmouth (Woodside).
