Fiddle concert
The Caledonian Fiddle Orchestra will be in concert on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. at the St. Luke's United Church, at 5374 St. Margaret's Bay Rd. in Upper Tantallon.
Tickets are $10 each, and are available from the church office by calling 826-2523.
Check out the orchestra's website www.caledonianorchestra.com. According to Scots Magazine, "They pride themselves in being the only group in Atlantic Canada dedicated to performing in the traditional style of a Scottish Fiddle Orchestra."
Legion hosts dance
The Bedford Branch No. 95 Legion will host a benefit dance on Oct. 19 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Music will be provided by Classic Country and Wrangler.
This event is to raise funds for Carolyn Lively, who is in Toronto awaiting a double-lung transplant. Donations at the door.
The legion will also host a Halloween dance on Oct. 27 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Music by Buddy Squires & Trio.
Hall rentals are available for private parties, weddings, banquets, full catering services and an excellent large dance floor.
