Over the past few weeks, readers have nominated their favourite coffee shop, restaurant/pub, landmark, park and swimming hole.

This week we've announced the finalists for favourite local parks, next week we will announce the finalists for local swimming hole and the winner and runners-up for favourite restaurant/pub.

Voting is now open for landmarks and parks. Just smake your selections in the boxes to the left.

Here are the nominees:

Millwood Commons
Middle Sackville

Reader Comment:

Our family loves the Millwood Commons. Last year a much-needed new playground was installed, and it is definitely a hot spot for local families to relax and play with their children.

Lauri-Ann Riley, Lower Sackville

Sandy Lake Lions Park
Bedford

Reader Comment:

The Sandy Lake Lions Park is not far from the intersection of the Hammonds Plains Road where it meets Highway 102. It's a little gem.

Marie, N.S.

Second Lake Provincial Park
Lower Sackville

Reader Comment:

(The park) is beautiful, with wide walking trails leading through beautiful hardwood and evergreen forests to very pretty Second Lake. Along the Great Oak Trail stands an enormous oak tree.

Anne Smith, Lower Sackville
