Do you have the Power Within? Motivational speaker Anthony Robbins believes you do. And when he hits Halifax on Feb. 26, he plans to share his expertise and show locals how they can change their lives for the better.

Part of Robbins's world tour, including stops in China, Bejing, London and across the U.S., the day-long event, culminating with Robbins's leadership seminar, will also feature talks by the Murray twins (Two for the Money: The Sensible Plan for Making It All Work), Mike Lipkin (The Power to Persuade), Loretta LaRoche (Life is Short - Wear Your Party Pants!), Phil Town (Successful Investing) and Mitch Joel (The Power of Conversations).

An expert on the psychology of peak performance and personal, professional, and organizational turnaround, Robbins has advised Fortune 500 CEOs, world-renowned medical doctors, championship sports teams, elite athletes, including Andre Agassi, and coaches and legends in entertainment, such as Quincy Jones and Anthony Hopkins.

What began as a young person's desire to help individuals transform the quality of their lives has grown into Robbins's lifelong crusade as he is called on by leaders from every walk of life.

"I love all people; I live to see people light up. I think most people settle for so much less that what they deserve and what they can become and what they can give and what they can create in life," Robbins says.

"When I was in high school, I was a fat kid and I hated being fat, so I started reading books and I turned myself around physically - this is all when I was 15, 16 years old - and after that I started reading books on psychology and personal development books and things of that nature, and what happened was, my friends would ask what happened to me and I told them and helped them, and they lost weight, too, which got them the girls, and that made me a popular guy," Robbins laughs. "Honestly, it started at that age. In high school, I was known as Mr. Solution."

From that early age, Robbins shared a motivational message with the people close to him, and as years passed, Robbins became more self-educated in the world of psychology and leadership.

"My big breakthrough happened in Canada actually. I came to Vancouver in 1983 and became exposed to a new set of tools, it was called NLP - neuro-linguistic programming," Robbins explains. "At that time, it was the cutting edge in psychology, you learned things like how to wipe out a life-time phobia in less than an hour.

"And I had read everything I could read and saw everything I could see, but this just blew me away."
