The Dartmouth Christmas tree lighting will take place Saturday, Nov. 29, at Sullivan's Pond. The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. and last until 6:15 p.m. Highlights of the event include: musical entertainment, the lighting of the Dartmouth Christmas tree, holiday fireworks and illuminations over Sullivan's Pond and a visit from Santa Claus on an HRM fire truck.
There will also be a LED light exchange at the event.
"This event is a wonderful way to get in the Christmas spirit," says Dartmouth Centre Coun. Gloria McCluskey.
Crichton Avenue will be closed from 2:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. between Ochterloney Street and Dahlia Street to accommodate the large number of people expected to attend the event.
