To the editor:
While I cannot disagree with someone's right to protest, when that protesting takes on the violence and destruction that has taken place in Vancouver, I no longer see the reasons you are protesting. I only see you as a dishonorable person who will use violence and the destruction of property to get your point across. The cause you are protesting becomes invisible and turns people against you.
And to those of you who cover your faces, this tells me you do not have the courage of your convictions and are only there to spread hatred and incite others to do the same. If you truly believe in what you are doing you would show your face to the world. Violence and the destruction of property does not further the cause you say you believe in; it simply turns people away.
Pie throwers should also be mentioned here. You are childish beyond words and should be charged with assault. Not only do you embarrass the people you assault, you embarrass the cause you believe in.

Protests do not need to be violent
