Hi everybody – I’m King, a handsome 3-year-old boy. I’m an American Staffordshire Terrier with a gorgeous black/brown coat, a distinctive white crest on my chest and soulful eyes.
Sadly, I spent the first three years of my life tied to a chain. I never knew what it was like to have a warm comfortable bed or my own toys. I was grateful to be brought to the NS SPCA Provincial Animal Shelter, where I feel safe and have experienced kind words and a gentle touch.
I am very friendly and affectionate and enjoy people’s company. I’m playful and energetic and love to go for walks. Because I’m a strong lad, I need a strong confident owner when I’m on-leash. I’ll make a fine addition to a family with children 5 and up. I’ll do best as your only canine pal and no cats (sorry). I was never taught basic commands, so would benefit from obedience training so that I can be the best possible pet.
I dream of starting a new chapter in my life. Please come and meet me – I’m waiting to bestow all the love I have to give on a family who will love me in return.
King has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, flea treated and examined by a veterinarian.
