Hi everybody – I’m Esmeralda. I was named after the precious gem, the emerald. My coat is lustrous ebony with a white splash on my throat and my eyes are a warm golden-green. I’m 12years old (but haven’t you heard – 12 is the new five!). While I may be a bit older than some kitties at the shelter, adult cats have lots to offer and I’m no exception.
I’m a kindly gentle girl who was found stray. Initially bashful, I’m motivated to make friends and want to trust – you can see it in my eyes. I like being spoken to in soft, gentle tones. I’m curious and responsive and like watching the world around me. I wish that I had a windowsill of my own to laze in the sun. My sweet face is full of longing for someone to love me and keep my safe. My adoption fee has been reduced to help me.
I’ll excel in a quiet home without small children. A slow patient approach will help me feel secure. In return for that security, you’ll find yourself blessed with a grateful friend who will always remember that she was given a second chance. Please stop by to meet me.
Esmeralda has been spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed, flea treated and examined by a veterinarian.
