I remember March break ( shudder lol ), always trying to find activities to do with the kids that didn’t break our budget but yet were fun for them. It was always a lot of work to find those activities around town. I did a little bit of checking around and have found some activities!
The Libraries here in HRM and surrounding areas are quite simply FANTASTIC! Go to their internet site,
http://www.halifaxpubliclibraries.ca/programs.html, under the programs section and you will find a HUGE amount of activities that are available for children of all ages! From Magic Shows, Puppet Shows, Craft Days, Crash Course in Film Making , Movie Times, Paint Art Working and Pigs Jigs to name just a few…all FREE and many even offering a snack !!!
There are Toonie Tuesdays at the Theatre as well! Not all locations participate but many are. If you want snacks included you can do those for 7.50! Great Deal!!
Shubie Park is also offering some outings for March Break and they are at reasonable prices.
Then there is always Gramma and Grampee who love to have special days with the grandchildren. I know we do J. It gives the grandparents the time to make special memories which is usually all that us grandparents want to do, have the special one on one time with the grandchildren and make those special moments, baking, gardening, going to the parks, movies, coloring/drawing to name just a few and what better time than March Break!
