A live radio show is being taped at Emma's Eatery on Jan. 19.
Corey Poirier, author and radio show host, will be interviewing special guests at the restaurant while the audience feasts on a three course meal prepared by Emma's chef/owner Kim Stacey.
This is the first event of its kind in the area, says Stacey.
And tickets are now available at Emma's. The cost is $35.
"For a while now I have wanted to get together with Corey and bring something dynamic and different to my restaurant. And this is it."
Poirier is a professional keynote speaker, entrepreneur, corporate customer service and sales training specialist, publisher of Island Business News, author of four acclaimed books in the Conversations With series, creator of three audio programs and the host of the new radio show Conversations with Passions. His guests on the radio show launched last month have included David Suzuki, author Jack Canfield and conversations with actor John Dunsworth about his popular stories CD.
"I will be interviewing Kim Stacey, entertainer Willy Badger and Luke Conrad, one half of the Luke and Jock Reality Show rejects at the event."
The interviews will be conducted in "The Hour" or "Inside The Actor's Studio" style.
Living the better life with passion, both personally and professionally, is the theme for the radio show so Poirier's three interviews at Emma's will reveal how his guests continue to fuel their passion.
"We will get to the heart of Kim Stacey, how she continues to run a business in what is a tough profession. Willy Badger is the Promoter Guy. He has done screenwriting, juggling, golf comedy, motivational speaking. And what is the mindset of Luke and Jock? They have auditioned for Canadian Idol, So You Think You Can Dance,Dragons Den, Canada's Got Talent, American Idol. They have turned rejection into success and have the travel documentary series, "Nova Scotia Revealed."
Each person who buys a ticket for the event will also receive a copy of either "Conversations With Nova Scotians" or "Conversations with Atlantic Canadians." Both books are written by Poirier.
Stacey says she is open to having other events like this one at her restaurant.
And Poirier says he will be asking the audience at Emma's what they may want to see next.
"I think the audience will enjoy seeing how the interviews reveal the passion, heart and positive energy of each person. It is going to be a great night."
The event will be held Jan. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Emma's Eatery at 31 Cow Bay Road. Call 406-0606 for more info, or visit www.facebook.com/conversationswithpassion
