Keep current with what's happening on local waterfronts this summer.

Waterfront Development Corporation Ltd. (WDCL) today, June 23, launched www.my-waterfront.ca a website providing information on events, services, and development activities in Bedford, Dartmouth, Halifax and Lunenburg.

"The waterfronts are the most visited destinations in the province, and we want to ensure a quality experience for our visitors," said Colin MacLean, president and CEO, WDCL. "My-waterfront.ca is an opportunity for visitors to have access to the information that creates a unique and wonderful waterfront experience."

The website supports improvements in business services such as public marinas in Bedford and Halifax, event listings, and parking. There is also information on the waterfront Harbourwalk Trails in Bedford, Dartmouth and Halifax, and waterfront maps.

The website showcases the four waterfronts, featuring information on Things to Do at each location, in categories for visits of five minutes, five hours, or five days. The easy-to-use format allows people to focus on a particular waterfront, or get a picture of the work WDCL does in Bedford, Dartmouth, Halifax and Lunenburg.

The website will integrate Facebook and Twitter. There are many great activities and events that happen on the waterfront and WDCL wants to ensure that residents and visitors alike have a great experience, each time they visit.

The website was developed in partnership with Threeton New Media. A second phase will be launched later this year to allow comments and feedback.
