For someone to accuse the migration of black people for the crime and unlawful acts that occur in society is almost comical. Okay yes, the term commonly referred to this movement was the " Underground Railroad" but then again, just because we have not established a common title for the movement of "Whites" to North America does not make it any less of that, a movement, and to say that white people have never robbed a bank or murdered somebody in their society is histerical, if you look into your history books you would understand that people lead by example and thus if "Blacks" were in slavery and only had "Whites" to observe, in-a-way you could say that white men have "PIONEERED" the acts of your present day "hoodlums, thugs, and gangsters." I do not state this "piece" with the intention of covering up the acts, done by black people, that we frown upon, I say this only to help give a more educated and more-so scientific stand point on peoples commonly misguided perception of black people.

This might be a good time to stop raving about the underground railroad and look at the negative effects that the influx of that population had on everybody in Halifax and elsewhere where they settled in large numbers.
