Police investigating North Preston shooting

RCMP are investigating a shooting that occurred in North Preston.

Yesterday, Jan. 26, at 10:05 p.m., police responded to a 911 call at Donald Lane in North Preston. Upon arrival, RCMP located a 31-year-old male suffering from a single gun shot wound. The male was transported to the QEII hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are asking anyone who might have seen suspicious activity in the area to contact them. People can contact any RCMP office, Halifax Regional Police or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIP202 + your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca ( http://www.crimestoppers.ns.ca/ ) . Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 - $2,000.
