HRM's summer weekly green cart service will be in effect starting Monday, July 2, for the following areas: Halifax, Lakeside, Beechville, Timberlea, Herring Cove, Sambro Loop, Williamswood, Harrietsfield, Hammonds Plains area to Highway #103, Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Westphal, Eastern Passage, Cow Bay, Bedford, Sackville, Beaver Bank, Kinsac, Fall River and area.
This program runs until Friday, Aug. 31.
Eligible residents can place their green cart out for collection weekly, even if it’s not full. Collection may begin as early as 7 a.m. Material may be placed curbside the evening prior to collection.
On completion of this summer service, collection returns to the regular two-week green cart/garbage schedule.
