Dartmouth traffic stop finds loaded handgun

At 5:45 p.m. last night, July 11, Halifax police observed a suspicious vehicle on Pinecrest Drive. The vehicle was pulled over and  three adults were taken into custody without incident. A 25-year- old Dartmouth male was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. He was held in police custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court this morning facing nine weapons-related offences and one breach of probation order. Two other occupants of the vehicle were released without charges.
