Halifax Harbour Bridges is advising the public of the following events and closures taking place on the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge to celebrate Natal Day. The MacKay Bridge is fully open during Natal Day weekend.

Saturday, August 4 – 7:30 p.m. until clean-up is complete

Halifax Harbour Bridges Natal Day Fireworks

The Macdonald Bridge sidewalk will close at 3 p.m. and a shuttle service for pedestrians will be provided. The Macdonald Bridge, including the bike lane, will close to all traffic at 7:30 p.m. and reopen following the clean-up of the fireworks. A shuttle service will be offered to pedestrians and cyclists.

Sunday, August 5 – 8:30 a.m. – noon Maritime Heart Centre MACPASS Miles

The Macdonald Bridge will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to noon to host the 18th annual Maritime Heart Centre MACPASS Miles road race. The sidewalk and bike lane will remain open during the bridge closure. For more information about MACPASS Miles, visit www.macpassmiles.com.

Monday, August 6 – 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

2012 Pepsi Natal Day Parade Halifax Harbour Bridges 30th Annual Bridgewalk

The Macdonald Bridge will be closed from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. The sidewalk and bike lane will remain open during this closure. The closure is taking place to host the following free public events:

2012 Pepsi Natal Day Parade - 10 a.m. to noon

Halifax Harbour Bridges 30th Annual Bridgewalk - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All events listed are free to the public.
