Highway 107 collision victim identified

A woman is dead following a collision involving three vehicles that closed Highway 107 between Exits 17 and 18 Friday afternoon (Aug. 10). 

Marilyn Doherty-Legoffic, 49-years-old, of Dartmouth died when the vehicle she was driving was involved in a head on collision.  

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Just after noon, a westbound Honda Fit crossed the dividing line of Highway 107 and collided with an eastbound Audi.

RCMP confirmed late Friday the driver of the Honda Fit, the lone female occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted to hospital where she died from her injuries. 

The driver of the Audi was treated at the scene and released. The occupants of the third vehicle, a pick-up truck, were uninjured.

The cause of the collision is under investigation. The highway was closed for several hours.
