Elderly woman robbed during Halifax home invasion

At around 11:30 p.m. last night, Aug. 23,  two males broke in to a home located on Ferndale Drive in Halifax.

The lone resident, a 74-year-old female, was at home at the time. The suspects encountered the resident and made threats toward her as they removed some items from her home.

The suspects then fled the area on foot and were last seen running down St. Margaret's Bay Road toward the Armdale Roundabout.

The homeowner was not injured during the incident.

One suspect is described as being a white male, approximately six-feet-tall, reddish hair and was wearing a yellow-coloured hoodie.

The second suspect is described as being a white male, five-foot seven to five-foot-eight with a stocky build, dressed in all dark clothing and wearing a dark ski mask.

Police are investigating and anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact officers at 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
