Pedestrians shot with BB gun in Halifax

This morning, Sept. 2, at 315 a.m., a male walking on Mumford Road near the West End Mall in  Halifax was shot at by an occupant of a passing vehicle resulting in minor injuries to his arm. The suspect vehicle was located by police on Chebucto Road near the Armdale Roundabout. Three occupants were arrested (two adults and one young offender) and a BB-style gun was seized from the vehicle.  All parties are in police custody facing weapons-related charges.

While on scene, a second victim approached officers as he had been struck by a pellet while walking on Quinpool Road near Horseshoe Island.

 

The three suspects, two aged 18 and the other aged 17, are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

 

Based on the investigation, police believe there may be a third victim in this morning's incidents.

Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents or anyone who believes they were a victim to call (902) 490-5016.
