Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning in Halifax.

At 7:09 a.m. Sept. 17, a male taxi driver reported picking up a man in the area of Spring Garden Road and Summer Street. Upon arriving in the area of Brunswick Street and Sunrise Walk the passenger indicated he had a gun — although one was not seen — and demanded cash from the driver. The victim was not injured and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a white man, approximately 30-years-old and was wearing dark clothes and a dark baseball cap.
