RCMP have charged a 34-year-old man in relation to several recent break and enters in Boutiliers Point.
Over the past month, several homes in the Boutiliers Point area have been broken into. Jewelry, cash, computer equipment and electronics were stolen. On Sept. 20, an off-duty officer was driving through the Boutiliers Point area when he noticed a male being dropped off at a house on Hillside Drive. He recognized the male as a suspect in one of the recent break and enters. Tantallon RCMP arrested the man without incident.
The Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Tantallon RCMP, have charged 34-year-old Kevin Arthur Whiting of Boutiliers Point with six counts of break and enter. Additional charges are pending. He will be appearing today, Sept. 26, in Halifax Provincial Court.
