RCMP are asking the public for assistance in locating two males who are wanted in relation to a forcible confinement and sexual assault investigation in Upper Chelsea, Lunenburg County.
On Sept. 24 at approximately 7:15 p.m. RCMP received a call from a local resident regarding a 16-year-old male in need of assistance. Bridgewater RCMP responded and the preliminary investigation revealed that the youth had been forcibly confined in a residence on Faulkner Road, Upper Chelsea. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation has determined the victim was held against his will for a period of 10 to 14 days.
Investigators have laid charges of Forcible Confinement and Sexual Assault against 47-year-old David James Leblanc and 31-year-old Wayne Alan Cunningham. RCMP are requesting assistance from the public in locating the two men.
The accused may be traveling in a 2003 grey Hyundai Elantra with a Nova Scotia licence plate FBP 233, or a 2002 brown Chevrolet Venture van with a Nova Scotia licence plate EZG 581.
Investigators believe the accused men could be in Lunenburg County or Halifax County. Anyone with information on the location of Leblanc or Cunningham is asked to contact police immediately and not approach the men directly.
