Woman facing robbery charges after purse-snatching in Halifax

On Sept. 27 at 9:30 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery in progress that was occurring at the Cogswell ramp near Barrington Street in Halifax. The victim, a 66-year-old female, was knocked to the ground and had her purse stolen from her. She did not sustain any injuries. Police located a suspect hiding under the Cogswell Street overpass. The suspect, a 33-year-old female from the Halifax area is facing robbery charges and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court this morning. All property taken during the incident was recovered and returned to the owner.
