Man dies in Halifax house fire

At approximately 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 7 Halifax Regional Police responded to a call to assist HRM Fire with a house fire in the 3500 block of Lynch Street in Halifax. There was only one occupant in the home at the time. HRM Fire were able to remove the 49 year old male from the house as he had lost consciousness. This male was taken to QEII hospital but the man passed away. At this time the incident is still under investigation by HRM Fire investigators along with Halifax Regional Police General Investigation Section.
