At 1 p.m. on Oct. 9, police responded to the Dartmouth Commons regarding drug activity believed to be taking place. As a result of an investigation, patrol units arrested a 27-year-old male without incident and seized a handgun, a quantity of marijuana and cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on the same day, police conducted a search of a residence on Nivens Avenue in Dartmouth. A 25-year-old male and a 23-year-old male were arrested at the scene without incident. The search resulted in officers seizing three additional firearms, ammunition as well as a quantity of marijuana and cocaine.
All three males will be in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning facing charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and firearms related offences.
