The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the murder of Laura Lee Cross. Sunday, Oct. 14 will mark the 10- year anniversary of her death.
On Oct. 14, 2002, at approximately 5:30 p.m., two hunters discovered human skeletal remains off a logging road on Old Guysborough Road near Dollar Lake Provincial Park. The skeletal remains were later identified as those of Laura Lee Cross. The investigation revealed that Cross was last seen on July 12, 2001, and reported missing in August of 2001. Cross had been living at 18 Middle Street in Dartmouth at the time of her disappearance.
