SUV hit by bullets in Bayers Lake, no injuries

Halifax police are investigating after gunshots were reportedly fired from a car at an SUV.

They say a witness reported hearing four or five shots on Chain Lake Drive around 10 p.m. Wednesday before seeing the SUV speed away in the wrong direction.

Police later found the damaged vehicle at a nearby home.

They say it had been struck in the rear by several bullets, but two males inside the SUV were not hurt.

Police say it appears the shots were fired from a small beige car — possibly a Honda.

The investigation is ongoing, but police say they do not believe the shooting was random. — CP
