On Friday, Oct. 26 at around 2 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that occurred on Mic Mac Blvd near the bus stop adjacent to the Zellers location of the Mic Mac Mall.
Upon arrival the police located two 14 year old males who stated that they had been robbed of cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash by another group of young males who they had met on bus #56.
During the course of the incident a handgun was displayed and one of the victims was punched in the face.
The suspects were last seen heading towards Zellers. The group of suspects were described as black males, in their teens, several wearing red hoodies and all wearing hats.
Police did a search of the area and were able to locate and identify one suspect. A 16 year old male from the North Preston area was arrested and is facing charges of Theft & Possession and Breach of Probation. He has been released from custody pending his court appearance on Nov 8th in Halifax Provincial Youth Justice Court.
