At 2:14 a.m. today, Jan. 4, Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance on Prince Street near Brunswick Street in Halifax. A 54-year-old male was located unconscious on the street. He was transported to the QEII hospital with a serious head injury.
Patrol members and officers from the Liquor Enforcement Unit questioned several persons in the area and staff at the nearby establishments in an attempt to determined what had occured.
The investigation is ongoing.
