Man with pellet gun threatens Mumford terminal bus passengers

At 5:16 p.m. last night, Jan. 3, Halifax Regional Police responded to the Metro Transit Bus Terminal located on Mumford Road in Halifax for a robbery.

It was reported that a male had tried to rob an elderly female.The original victim had fled the scene before the suspect obtained any items. After this he confronted several persons in the immediate area and fired plastic pellets at them.

Officers arrived and took the male into custody and recovered an airsoft pistol. 

A 32-year-old male from Halifax will be in court today to face robbery and numerous weapon-related charges.
