Two youths are facing charges after breaking into a house yesterday, Jan. 3, in Williamswood.

A man inside the residence called police after he observed two youths attempting to break into his basement. The youths fled the area once they realized that the residence was occupied but a K-9 unit dispatched to the scene was able to track the suspects to a residence on nearby Gordon Stewart Drive were the two youths were arrested.

Two 17-year-old male youths, one from Halifax and one from Williamswood, were held overnight and will appear today in Halifax Provincial Youth Court. They are facing charges of break and enter, possession of break and enter tools and wearing a disguise with intent.
