Halifax driver charged after latest crosswalk collision

A 79-year-old woman from Halifax has been ticketed after another car-pedestrian collision in metro.

Police say they responded to the accident at Dutch Village Road and Alma Crescent around 3:42 p.m. Wednesday.

A 65-year-old woman was crossing the street when a car hit her and knocked her to the ground.

Paramedics treated her at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle received a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. — Metro Halifax
