Lobster fisherman missing off Yarmouth shores

Yarmouth Rural RCMP has been advised from Canadian Coast Guard Joint Rescue Center that last evening at approximately 5:47 p.m, they received a report of a missing fisherman that had reportedly fallen over board his fishing vessel "ROW ROW". This incident occurred while the vessel was 33 miles south west of Yarmouth in the Atlantic Ocean.   

The Canadian Coast Guard searched throughout the night with vessels "Earl Grey" and "Cutter" and from the air with a Hercules fixed wing and Commorant Helicopter and the assistance of 20-30 local fisherman and their vessels but were unable to locate the victim. They have since advised that they reduced their search this morning at 09:00 hrs.  

Missing and presumed drowned is 20-year-old Michael Jeffrey Doucette from Wedgeport. The investigation is continuing.
