Man facing drug charges after traffic stop

A man faces drug charges after a traffic stop last night in Halifax.

At 6 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Dunbrack Street and Main Street. The driver was arrested at the scene and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 4 lbs. (1.8 Kg) of marijuana. A 47-year-old Halifax man faces a charge of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
