This morning, Jan. 18 at 4 a.m. Halifax police responded to an apartment building on Tupper Street in Dartmouth in response to a reported break and enter in progress. Multiple units responded to the scene and a suspect was arrested as he fled from the building. The officers determined that the suspect had broken into the apartment building and then entered the laundry room where he broke into one of the coin-operated laundry machines.
The 46-year-old male from the Dartmouth area has been charged with break and enter, possession of break-in tools and breach of probation.
The suspect was released from custody on a Promise to Appear and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in February.
