Forecasts are showing the snow is expected to end early this afternoon, Jan. 18, with rain to follow on Saturday. Crews will need to scrape streets tonight to push the snow back to clear catch basins.

HRM’s overnight winter parking ban will be enforced overnight tonight from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., Jan. 19. HRM is asking residents to ensure your vehicle is off the street and not interfering with snow clearing operations.

The weather and snow clearing operations will dictate how long the overnight ban will be enforced. HRM will continue to notify residents when the ban is in place through Public Service Announcements, halifax.ca, 311 and you can follow us on Twitter @hfxgov.
