Man charged for having loaded gun around Spring Garden Road

Halifax police say a man is facing charges after being found with a loaded firearm in the downtown core on Sunday afternoon.

Just after 3 p.m., Halifax Regional Police say they received information that a man was in the area of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street with a gun.

Police went to the area and a man was taken into custody without incident after being found with the gun.

The man is now due in court on Monday facing several weapons related offences. — Metro Halifax
