Flipped tractor trailer closes Akerley Boulevard to traffic

Halifax Regional Police advises motorists that the ramp from Akerley Boulevard to Highway 118 is closed to traffic following a motor vehicle accident today, Feb. 7, involving a tractor trailer that flipped on its side.

One lane remains open from Highway 118 to Akerley Boulevard but this lane will have to be shut down to allow the recovery of the tractor trailer later this afternoon. Officers are on scene and re-directing traffic away from the area.
