Starting tomorrow, Feb. 9, the geese at Sullivan’s Pond will be cared for by the Hope for Wildlife Society.

The Society has the capacity, knowledge and is better equipped to commit to the well-being of the geese. Their team will look after their feeding, monitoring and overall care.

Hope Swinimer, Director of the Hope for Wildlife Society, is confident the geese are safe to remain at Sullivan’s Pond. She will reassess the situation in the fall to determine the most appropriate environment for next year.

Residents with questions or concerns about the geese can continue to call HRM’s citizen contact centre at 311 and will be redirected to the Hope for Wildlife Society.
