Four men charged in rash of thefts

Four males are facing theft charges resulting from several incidents in and around HRM.

Between December and mid-February, there have been seven reported incidents of air compressors stolen from gas stations in Halifax, Bedford, Lower Sackville, Waverley, Fall River, Enfield and Elmsdale.

An investigation by RCMP has determined four males, aged 18 to 22, are responsible for those thefts as well as six reported incidents of theft of gasoline from gas stations. They have also been charged with Theft over $5,000 after police found them in possession of a boat that was stolen from a business in Chester.

The suspects, a 20-year-old male from Hammonds Plains, an 18-year old male from Fall River, a 19-year-old male from Brookside, and an 18-year-old male from Hammonds Plains, will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on April 3 to answer to charges of Theft over $5,000 and Break and Enter, Shubenacadie Provincial Court on April 15 for Theft under $5,000 and Mischief, and Dartmouth Provinicial Court on March 27 for Theft Under $5,000 and Mischief.
