Today, Feb. 19, marks the one-year anniversary of the homicide of James Alexander 'Sandy' Lyle.

An autopsy revealed that 55-year-old Lyle of Dartmouth died as a result of a gunshot wound.  Lyle was a local businessman and owner of the Rodeo Lounge. As police continue with their investigation, they are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Montague Road area of Montague Gold Mines, or in the Cannon Terrace area of Dartmouth on Sunday Feb. 19, 2012, to contact them.

People can contact any RCMP office, Halifax Regional Police or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIP202 + your message to 'CRIMES' (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 - $2,000.
