Three Dartmouth men charged with motor vehicle theft

At approximately 1:53 a.m. this morning, Feb. 19,  Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a theft of motor vehicle in progress in the Jackson Road area of Dartmouth. The caller stated three parties were attempting to steal her truck from the parking lot. The victim yelled at the subjects who then fled on foot. Several units responded and contained it and within 10 minutes had three parties in custody. The accused are all from Dartmouth, a 22 year-old-male, a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old male will be facing charges of theft of motor vehicle. The 19-year-old will face an additional breach of probation charge. All have been released and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court in April.
