Dartmouth man arrested for driving drunk on wrong side of Highway 111

At 10:38 p.m. last night, Feb. 19, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a vehicle driving northbound on Highway 111 on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle struck another vehicle just prior to Burnside Drive. Both vehicles were damaged, but there were no injuries. Police apprehended the vehicle just before the MacKay Bridge, and took the driver into custody. A 35-year-old male from Dartmouth will be appearing in court at a later date to face charges of impaired driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
