Three youths have been charged in connection with a deliberately-set fire at a Dartmouth playground.
At 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 25, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a fire at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal Park. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency extinguished the fire, which was restricted to a wooden playground boat. Fire officials determined that the fire had been deliberately set and the matter was turned over to police for investigation.
Over the course of the last three days, three male youths, one aged 16 and two aged 15, were arrested and charged with arson in connection with this incident. The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are anticipated.
