Two suspects charged after people sprayed with mace in Dartmouth

At approximately 8 p.m., March 9, there was a report of three separate incidents from people being sprayed with mace in Dartmouth. A 44-year-old male was out walking the 200 block of Windmill Rd., when he was approached by two unknown males, who yelled a comment at him, one male had a bear spray can in his hand and started spraying him in the face, when he tried to chase the suspects he was struck in the head with the canister by the suspect. The suspects then fled on foot, a second male victim was also sprayed by mace from these suspects further along Windmill Rd. Finally a  third  19-year-old male victim in the Wyse Rd. area was also sprayed as well as stabbed, minor injury, he was treated and released from the hospital.

From witnesses and the victims who provided detailed descriptions of the suspects patrol members and K9 flooded the area and two suspects were arrested in the vicinity.

A 19-year-old and 16-year-old male have been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon and are being held for court on Monday, Dartmouth Provincial Court.
