Two women face charges after two unrelated drug searches.
Yesterday at 5 p.m., officers conducted a search of a residence in the 0-100 block of Main Avenue in Halifax. Officers seized a quantity of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, cash and a loaded handgun during the search.
Megan Leslie Ernst, 20, of Halifax was arrested at the scene and is charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of drugs and two weapon-related offences. She was held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later today.
Shortly after midnight, officers conducted a search of a residence in the 0-100 block of True North Crescent in Dartmouth. Officers seized a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, three handguns and one long gun during the search.
Mia Kathleen Cole, 45, of Dartmouth was arrested at the scene and is charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and 10 weapon-related offences. She was held in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today
