Thistle Street convenience store robbed, clerk injured

At 7:45 p.m. last night, March 21, police responded to a robbery that occurred at the Thistle Street Convenience Store. According to staff, a suspect entered the store brandishing a hammer and demanded cash A struggle ensued between the employee and the suspect who then fled from the store empty handed. The employee, a 60-year-old male suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, five-foot-eight with a slim build . He was wearing a black bellaclava, black jacket and grey sweat pants.
