If you plan to vote by phone or internet in Saturday's HRM municipal election you only have until 7 p.m. tonight, Oct. 18, to cast a ballot.
"Voter participation appears to be strong in the closing days and hours of the Electronic Advanced polls in HRM," said HRM Returning Officer Cathy Mellet.
Yesterday, 8,986 voters cast their ballots online or by phone, and another 3,289 voted this morning. Those numbers have brought participation in the Advanced Electronic polls to 58,710 voters, or almost 20 per cent of the eligible electors having cast their ballots.
The Advanced Electronic Poll closes at 7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Oct. 18.
Saturday October 20, 2012 is official Election Day. On Saturday October 20, 2012 voters can vote in person at their local poll location (paper ballots only) from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
