HALIFAX – People who might have been planning to brave the potentially hurricane weather heading toward Nova Scotia this weekend might not be able to do so at provincial beaches, day-use and camping parks and the Shubenacadie wildlife park.

The Natural Resources Department is considering closing these facilities due to the anticipated weather conditions brought on by hurricane Earl as it moves closer to the province. The department indicated it would make the decision as the storm moves closer.

Beginning Sept. 1, anyone who opts to cancel reservations for the weekend at a provincial camping park will get a full refund.
